Malaysia-China Business and Trade Matchmaking Session

The Malaysia Foshan Chamber of Commerce (MFCC), actively promoting industry cooperation and development between Malaysia and Chinese enterprises, invites hundreds of Malaysian entrepreneurs and chamber members to participate in the “MCTE 2023 Malaysia-China Business and Trade Matchmaking Session.” This event has successfully facilitated collaboration between businesses from both regions.

The China-Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) Commodities Fair (referred to as “MCTE”) is a key exhibition project jointly organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) under the China International Exhibition Center Group, and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province. In 2019, the third edition of MCTE set a record by becoming the largest Chinese commodities exhibition in Malaysia, covering 20,000 square meters with 533 booths.

The fourth edition of MCTE in 2022, held from November 2nd to 4th at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Center despite challenging circumstances due to the pandemic, saw over 80 exhibitors from Guangdong Province participating via chartered flights. The total exhibition area exceeded 10,000 square meters. It was reported that Chinese exhibitors achieved on-site and intention transaction amounts of USD 23.5 million, equivalent to approximately RMB 169 million. The transaction rate, including purchase contracts, intention contracts, and agency agreements, reached an impressive 91.5%. Exhibition products were sold out quickly, and participating companies enjoyed fruitful results. Mr. Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia, visited the exhibition, and it received extensive coverage from media outlets including Xinhua News Agency, China News Service, and Southern Daily. The exhibitor satisfaction rate exceeded 95%, and the visitor satisfaction rate reached 98%, setting a precedent for overseas exhibitions after the pandemic.

The 2023 MCTE is expected to cover an exhibition area exceeding 20,000 square meters. The event will include an opening ceremony, summit forums, product launches, supply and procurement matchmaking, market surveys, and more. It is anticipated to attract over 20,000 professional buyers and feature participation from more than 500 companies.

We cordially invite you to participate in the MCTE 2023 event. Through this platform for Malaysia-China economic and trade exchanges and cooperation, we hope to deepen industry and business collaboration between Malaysia and China, and jointly explore more business opportunities. Your presence at this grand event is welcome, as we work together for mutual success!
