Currently Sabah economy is mostly dependent on the extraction of oil reserves from the Sabah Basin, which is mostly offshore. And contribute 5.5% of total Malaysia national GDP
Palm Oil Export
After petroleum products (oil and gas). Palm Oil is the second largest export out of Sabah. Due to its abundant oil palm plantations and the economic benefits derived from its production and processing.
Cultural Destination
Sabah, with over 30 ethnic groups, offers a rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality, making it a top destination for authentic cultural experiences.
Our Language
With population of 3.74 million (2024) . Sabah’s official language is Malay, but English, Mandarin, Chinese dialects, and various indigenous languages (Dusun, Kadazan, Bajau & Murut) are also widely spoken.

Crafting
Sabah is known for vibrant traditional crafts made from natural materials like bamboo and rattan, with popular items including beadwork and weaving, especially found at markets like Kota Kinabalu’s Handicraft Market.
